The Substitute Teacher carries out the lesson plans and daily classroom routines in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This role ensures a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment that supports the academic and social development of elementary-aged students.

 

 

Experience with children is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow and implement lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher.

• Maintain a positive and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.

• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, playground, and other assigned areas.

• Manage classroom behavior in accordance with school policies and procedures.

• Provide instruction, review, and support to students across subject areas (literacy, math, science, social studies, etc.).

• Communicate any concerns, incidents, or feedback to the building administrator and/or classroom teacher.

• Adapt to varying teaching assignments, grade levels, and student needs.

• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the school day.
