The Substitute Teacher carries out the lesson plans and daily classroom routines in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This role ensures a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment that supports the academic and social development of elementary-aged students.
Experience with children is preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow and implement lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher.

Maintain a positive and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.

Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, playground, and other assigned areas.

Manage classroom behavior in accordance with school policies and procedures.

Provide instruction, review, and support to students across subject areas (literacy, math, science, social studies, etc.).

Communicate any concerns, incidents, or feedback to the building administrator and/or classroom teacher.

Adapt to varying teaching assignments, grade levels, and student needs.

Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the school day.
